Reformation (1 janv. 1517 – 1 janv. 1648)

Description:

The restructuring of the European church which began with a german pastor named Martin Luther. He believed the church had become corrupt and held too much power. Luther had demanded for the church to be reformed as he felt that it had strayed away from its true purpose.

Reformation contributed to the development in classical liberalism in that reformers many countries broke away from the established Roman Catholic Church. They constructed new denominations according to various ideas, especially the idea that people were capable of making their own decisions based on reason.
