Mary Bliss Parsons (1 janv. 1628 – 1 janv. 1712)
Description:
People in town blame her for being infortune to others and the Bridgmans started to spread rumors that Mary Parsons is a witch. In 1656 Joseph Parsons charges Sarah Bridgman for insulting her wife (the Slander Trial) and Bridgman was asked to make a public apology and pay a fine and court costs. In 1674, triggered by her own daughter’s sudden death, Sarah Bridgman charged Parsons with witchcraft (the witchcraft trial). Though Parsons got acquitted from the court, she suffered rumors about her until she died in 1712.
