First Continental Congress (5 sept. 1774 – 26 oct. 1775)
Description:
On September 5 1774, Delegates from the 13 colonies came to a meeting at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, which the first one was a compact among the Colonies to boycott British goods.
Quote 1: "The following acts of Parliament are infringements and violations of the rights of the colonists; and that the repeal of them is essentially necessary in order to restore harmony between Great Britain and the American colonies, viz.: the three acts passed in the last session of Parliament, for stopping the port up the harbor of Boston, for altering the charter and government of the Massachusetts Bay."
The First Continental Congress
Quote 2: I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!
– Patrick Henry, Meeting of the First Continental Congress in 1774
