Townshend Acts (1 janv. 1767 – 1 janv. 1768)

Description:

The Townshend Acts were four acts that were created by the British because they wanted to somewhat assert dominance over the colonies and also benefit from the colonies through taxes. The Townshend Acts including taxes on many different items such as tea, paper, glass, and more. The Townshend Acts occurred in 1767 and Charles Townshend implemented the acts because of how the colonies were acting. This made the Americans very angry because they had to pay taxes on even more goods.
