Description:
- Passed by the British Parliament on March 22nd, 1765.
- Passed because the British needed money after the French and Indian war.
- The act forced Colonials to pay a tax on all printed and mailed paper.
- The British taxed them because they fought the French and Indian war to protect them, and they needed money immediately.
