Christopher Columbus goes across the Atlantic Ocean and made 4 trips. Christopher made landfall on a small island in the Caribbean. His plan was to find a water route, Instead he found the Americas.This sparked the age of exploration which was a period of overseas exploration and was the beginning of globalization.
