Britain in 'Global War' (3 déc. 1793 – 3 avr. 1815)
Description:
- Britain greatly expanded their stake in the Indian sub continent
- Seized other colonial prizes from the French, Dutch and Spanish therefore enlarging their empire of rule rather than their empire of settlement
- Thus the variety in the empire became more markedly different
- By 1815, the British naval power was supreme and the world’s seas lay open to British mercantile enterprise.
