Planning for Public Order (21 mars 1890 – 24 avr. 1895)
Description:
With the increase of population came large volumes of sales of land, and platting at will. This resulted in unclear public-private boundaries, and cause many inefficiencies because the city had to support developments in various, sometimes disconnected places.
Planning regulations became a way to impose order. This represented first steps toward modern day city planning.
