o A period dominated by colder and wetter climates. This lead to decreased agricultural output and collapse of villages/towns. Across Europe, decreased agricultural Europe lead to mass famine and starvation along with an increase in food prices, which increased susceptibility to disease, decreased birth rate and increased death rate.
