Under pressure from German Emperor Sigismund, council met @Constance to: wipe out heresy, end schism, + reform church | Wipe out heresy: Jan Hus was tried, condemned, & burned@stake for heresy 1415| End schism: deposed roman, pisa, and avignon popes, and elected Roman cardinal Colonna (‘Martin V’) as new pope | Reform: didn’t do much.
