The printing press, invented by Johannes Gutenberg, was developed from the technology of the screw-type printing press. Johannes Gutenberg is credited with printing the world's first Bible, called the Gutenberg Bible. The printing press is responsible for the spread of the Reformation and for all of our books today. It was and event that marked the beginning of an age of knowledge.
