Imperial way supporters try take over Tokyo (26 févr. 1935 – 28 févr. 1935)
Description:
On February 26 1935 over a thousand Imperial Way supporters tried to take over central Tokyo:- 3 senior government ministers were assassinated.
- The rebels surrendered on 29 February when the navy was finally called
- The Control faction was now fully in control and demanded the army and navy ministers would have the right to approve all civilian appointments to the cabinet. This put them closer towards military authority in Japan.
