Description:

Geography: Sa’dah governate and Northern yemen against the south of Saudi Arabia , yemen and Saudi border
Warring Factions: Houthi (Ansar Allah) rebels vs Yemeni central government forces, Saudi involvement at times
Duration: Sixth round is contested but dated for Aug 2009 - Feb 2010
Weapons Supplier: Locally mobilized light arms with seized military equipment, externally supplied by Iran, Yemeni government arms and Saudi and UAE supplied equipment to the Yemeni government which had been bought from the US and the UK
Description: The sixth episodic round of the Houthi militia group against the Yemeni government aided by the Saudis. There was a large government offensive named Operation Scorched Earth (fifth insurgency) that had many civilian casualties, the Houthi Militia gained territory in Sa’adaj and cross border raids in south Saudi Arabia as well.
