Seleucid Empire (19 sept. 321 av. J.-C. – 23 août 63 av. J.-C.)
Description:
The Seleucid Empire - along with Ptolemaic Egypt - was a large fraction of Alexander's empire which formed an independent Empire following his abrupt death. The Empire controlled a vast proportion of territory for nearly two centuries before falling into decay. By the time it was eventually subsumed into the Roman Empire by Pompey the Great (Caesar's son in law and then rival in the Civil War) the Kingdom only controlled parts of Syria.
