Description:

Majority Royalist but still had conflict with Charles over religion (Clarendon codes opposed Charles' views of tolerance), money(Struggled to raise Charles' annual grant of £1.2m and would implement unpopular taxes)& foreign policy(2nd Anglo-Dutch war was unpopular with parliament &Charles needed money to fight it, Raid on medway was a humiliating failure that resulted inClarendon removed from power)

Coporation Act 1661 - Eveyone holding public office to swear alligenace to crown
Act of Uniformity 1662 - The Anglican book of Common Prayer was used in all services
Licensiing of Press act -Limited freedom to publish work that criticised CoE
Convectile Act - No more than 5 in a no Anglican meeting
5mile act- Noncomformist clergy cant go within 5 miles of there parish
