-colllective of those who opposed Bolsheviks
-included: poeple who wanted restoration of Tsar, People who wanted Bolsheviks defeated and people wanting restoration of constituent assembly
-Supported by Foreign powers - Russia's ex-allies: Britain, France, USA and Japan
- Due to Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, Bolsheviks cancelled payments of loans to allies and fear of spread of communsim

Greens:
-national minorities wanting to establish independence from Russia
