2014 Gaza War (8 juill. 2014 – 26 août 2014)

Description:

Following extremist attacks from both sides, Israel invades the Gaza Strip again, leaving 2,000 Gazans (65-70% civilians) dead and over 10,000 injured, including over 3,000 children (1,000 of whom are left permanently disabled). Contrarily, only 66 Israeli soldiers and 5 Israeli civilians are killed, and over 600 injured (200 of which were civilians). During this time, Hamas reportedly launches over 4,000 rockets, targeting major Israeli cities (many of which were inaccurate and landed in open fields or in Gaza).

A ceasefire is brokered, again, with the help of the US and Egypt.
