Acadia
Became British in 1713 (1 janv. 1604 – 1 janv. 1713)
Description:
Composed of mostly farmers, this North American area was home to a select group of British settlers, who arrived in 1604. This group had good relations with the Mi'kmaq, as well as a good trading industry and fishing business.
It was important as it made a unique community, also known as Cajun (a slang term for Acadian. recognize it?), and it proved that North America was livable and profitable.
when France came, the Cajuns / Acadians were deported to Britain and the 13 colonies, creating New Orleans in the latter.
