Description:
The Allied forces, especially Britain and the Soviet Union, wanted to ensure that Iranian oil would continue to reach the front.Both nations sent troops into Iran to prevent Nazi Germany from gaining control there.
Reza was sympathetic to Germans, though, because they had never bothered or interfered with Iran. He declared Iran neutral.
