Third Century Crisis (1 janv. 193 – 1 janv. 284)
Description:
Period of political, military, and economic instability in the Roman Empire. It was marked by frequent changes in emperors, civil wars, invasions by barbarian groups, economic decline, and the division of the empire into separate regions. The crisis severely weakened the Roman state, but it was eventually resolved by the reforms of Emperor Diocletian, who stabilized the empire, reorganized its administration, and initiated a period of recovery.
