Description:
An important early Islamic historian. His most famous work, Futuh al-Buldan (Conquests of the Lands), documents the early Islamic conquests and the spread of Islam across the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, and into parts of Europe and Asia. It is a key text for understanding the early expansion of the Islamic state.
