Description:
A Persian mathematician, astronomer, and scholar. He is considered the father of algebra, and his book Al-Kitab al-Mukhtasar fi Hisab al-Jabr wal-Muqabala (The Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing) introduced algebraic concepts. His name gave rise to the term "algorithm," and his work laid the foundations for modern mathematics.
