Rule of Henry VIII (21 avr. 1509 – 28 janv. 1547)

Description:

Henry VIII was the son of King Henry VII, making him the second Tudor monarch. He was married six times, and in an effort to get annuled from Catherine of Aragon (he believed their marriage was cursed since she only had one child - a girl, who could not be an heir to the throne), tensions between the Catholic Church and England rose. He started the English Reformation and named himself the Head of the Church of England. Henry executed many people without a fair trial if it seemed that they were the even the tiniest threat to his rule. Henry ended up marrying six times, and drastically changed religion in England, even though it still kept Catholic doctrine.
