Treaty of San Lorenzo (27 oct. 1795 – 27 oct. 1795)
Description:
Under the terms of the Treaty of San Lorenzo in 1795, Spain also allowed Americans free navigation of the Mississippi River. America was also given the right of deposit in New Orleans. Th e right of deposit was the privilege of depositing, or storing, goods, which they would later export to Europe without having to pay duties or taxes. Spain also promised to do what it could to restrain the Indians living in Spanish Florida from attacking American settlements along the border
