Dmitri Mendeleev (Periodic Table) (1 janv. 1869 – 1 janv. 1869)

Description:

Mendeleev created the first widely recognized periodic table, arranging elements by increasing atomic weight and leaving gaps for undiscovered elements, predicting their properties.

Example: Mendeleev predicted the existence of germanium (Ge), which he called "eka-silicon" before it was discovered. He predicted its atomic weight and properties, which was later confirmed when germanium was discovered.
