Description:
Mesolithic Period (c. 10,000 - 4,000 BC): After the last Ice Age, Britain was inhabited by small groups of hunter-gatherers. These early inhabitants used stone tools and lived a nomadic lifestyle, hunting animals and foraging for plants. Britain was still connected to mainland Europe by a land bridge known as Doggerland.
