Battle of Britain (10 juill. 1940 – 31 oct. 1940)
Description:
Germany launched a multiple bombing campaign targeting London cities. This led to lots of destruction and conquering most of the mainland of Europe thinking they would win this battle easily until the royal air force started to attack the bombers of Germany. It made a huge impact because overtime Germany started to lose their ground and this led to Germany’s defeat in the Battle of Britain due to Hitler underestimating the British Royal Air Force and the British tenacity and for attacking their homelands which they have an advantage. The casualties for the Germans were 2662 aircrafts for the British royal air force 1250 aircraft and 1017 fighters were killed/destroyed.This victory for Britain resulted in them to boost their morale that Germany could be defeated.
