The partition of India started because a political boarders , and the dissolution of the British raj and the subsequent creation of India and Pakistan symbolize a pivotal chapter in the history of the Indian continent , incorporating the complexities of decolonization, nationhood, and communal identity. The people that migrated to different countries near India but it was not just this it also dependent a lot in the economic considerations, fear of violence, and political affiliations that also made a lot of people migrated people's decisions to move. For example Muslims left India for Pakistan heading mostly to the west. But in the other side the Hindus and Sikhs made the opposite journey mostly to the West Punjab and East Bengal (which later became part of Bangladesh.
