Description:
The Mauryan dynasty filled the space of Kingdom of Macedonia. The empire stretched over parts of modern Iran and almost the entire Indian subcontinent. The empire came into power when it filled the power vacuum created by Alexander of Macedon's departure from the western borders of India. The main government was made up of a military, judicial branch, and a legislative branch. The King was in charge of all of the branches. It relates to the period 2 key concept of The Development of Sates and Empires.
