Cuban Missile Crisis (16 oct. 1962 – 28 oct. 1962)

Description:

It was discovered that Cuba was constructing missile silos in 1962. Because Cuba was a communist country, they were receiving support from the Soviet Union. Soviet ships loaded with nuclear warheads began moving towards Cuba. The US Navy blocked the Soviet ships from their destination. As a result, the US and the USSR barely avoided a nuclear confrontation.
