Nabataean Kingdom (1 janv. 300 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 106)

Description:

The Nabataean Kingdom, also known as Nabatea, was a prominent political entity during classical antiquity, ruled by the Nabataeans. Renowned for its control over key trade routes, the kingdom amassed significant wealth and attracted envy from neighboring states.

Stretching from the Tihamah region into the Hejaz in the south, Nabataea extended its influence as far north as Damascus, albeit for a brief period between 85–71 BC.

Nabataea maintained its independence as a political entity from the mid-3rd century BC until its annexation by the Roman Empire in AD 106. Following annexation, the Romans renamed the region Arabia Petraea.
