who: Britain, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy. Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza basically started this all
What European countries brought nearly all of the African continent under their control as part of their separate empires. There was a loss in voice and identity for africans. There was a forced demise on African Industry and there was slavery.
Why: They took over africa for more land/popularity and Africa is rich in resources they could exploit from them
impact: Africa changed
