Description:
The Greensboro sit-ins were a series of non-violent protests in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1960. On February 1st, 1960, four black men sat down at a lunch counter specifically for the whites. When they each asked for a cup of coffee, they were refused service and asked to leave the store. Day by day, more and more students joined the sit-in. This movement continued until July 25th.
