Federal Railroad Safety Act (FRSA), 49 U.S.C 20109 is amended (3 août 2007 – 17 juin 2047)

Description:

This was amended from Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act for the transfer of authority for railroad carrier worker whistleblower protections to OSHA which also included new rights, remedies, and procedures. The act protected the people working at railways from repercussions and retaliation for reporting safety violations. This safety act is the government making regulations to protect them from potential harm. This has to do with public ownership of railroads, telephones, and telegraphs under the transportation section of the Omaha platform, the ownership is in the hands of the private corporations but the government still steps in to regulate things when and where it needs to.
