9th Century: Neumatic Notation (1 janv. 800 – 1 janv. 900)
Description:
Religious Chants, since the rise of Christianity. Had always been passed down orally, although in the 9th Century, Neumatic Notation became of form of written composition. Early forms of it had no staff, and were more like symbols written by hand, though later forms were more centralized around common rules, with a four line staff for example.
