US occupation of Haiti (1 janv. 1 – 1 janv. 1913)

Description:

In the wake of the egregious assassination of the Haitian President in July of 1915, a pivotal moment of profound consequence unfolded in the annals of diplomatic history. Responding to the exigencies of the situation, President Woodrow Wilson, at the helm of the United States, embarked upon a decisive course of action. In a demonstration of resolute commitment to regional stability and the preservation of political and economic equanimity in the Caribbean, President Wilson ordered the deployment of United States Marines to Haiti.

This intervention, characterized by a confluence of strategic imperatives and a commitment to the principles of governance and order, sought to redress the tumultuous circumstances prevailing in Haiti subsequent to the assassination.
