Berlin Airlift (24 juin 1948 – 12 mai 1949)
Description:
The Berlin Airlift happened because the Soviet Union blocked off railways and roads leading to West Berlin. To get around this, the Allies (mostly US) started flying planes into West Berlin to help out the civilians.
