The Tigray conflict in Ethiopia primarily took place in the Tigray region, which is one of the country's nine administrative regions. Tigray is located in the northern part of Ethiopia and shares borders with Eritrea to the north, Sudan to the west, Amhara region to the south, and the Afar region to the east.
