Genesis 14:1,9In the Genesis account, Amraphel is listed as the king of Shinar, which is an alternate term for Babylon (see Daniel 1:2).
Amraphel ruled over the city-state of Larsa as well, forcing its king Arioch to accompnay him in battle against a host of 5 kings.
