Continental Congress Notes (1 janv. 1775 – 1 janv. 1791)
Description:
America's first attempt at establishing a national currency. Due to the manner in which they were printed, these notes caused inflation in the American economy as they were used to pay for the Revolution. As a result, printing money was left in the hands of the states' governments.
