Akbar rules over 100 million people in India
- aggressive military leader
- religiously tolerant
       - abolishes taxes on non-Muslims
       - marries Hindu princess and allows her to keep religion
       - created own religion which blended Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, and Jainism
Progressive/gradual tax system: created the tax system of paying less taxes if someone makes lesson income- instead of flat tax (what we use today in the United States)
