Description:
The Black Death or bubonic plague killed more than 25 million people in fourteenth-century Europe. • Yersinia pestis (the plague bacteria) can be easily weaponized as a bioterrorism agent. • Early plague treatment is curative, but its symptomatology can be nonspecific.
