The Enlightenment was also known as "The Age of Reason", a huge intellectual and philosophical movement that influenced Europe in the 16th-17th centuries. Reason, individualism, and skepticism were the major concepts that surfaced out of this time period. This new knowledge eventually led to the famed French Revolution.
