Second Punic War (1 janv. 218 av. J.-C. – 1 janv. 201 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Carthage recovered from its defeat in the First Punic War and extended its control over much of Spain. In 219 BC Carthage at- tacked a Roman ally, a Spanish town on the Mediterranean coast. The city fell after an eight-month siege, and a second war broke out between Carthage and Rome. Hannabal led the Carthagans to victory over Rome and it took many years for Rome to recover.
