Soundies (1 sept. 1940 – 1 sept. 1946)
Description:
Soundies were a precursor to modern music videos, popular in the 1940s. These short musical films featured performances by various artists and bands and were designed to be played on a jukebox-like machine known as the Panoram, which included a small screen. Soundies brought music and visuals together for audiences in bars, clubs, and other entertainment venues, foreshadowing the later explosion of music video culture.
