White Australian Policy (23 déc. 1901 – 1 janv. 1973)

Description:

The immigration restriction act in 1901, was an act of the parliament of Australia, to limit migrants to Australia. They only allowed people from European countries, and any other people that weren't from any of those countries weren't allowed to enter Australia. Any person that wanted to enter Australia that wasn't from a European country, had to pass a test, called a dictation test.
A dictation test was a test that was read out to them, and they had to write down exactly what they said. To make sure that they couldn't enter, sometimes they were given a test in a different language, that they wouldn't know.
