Middle Ages (1 janv. 477 – 1 janv. 1440)

Description:

The middle ages, also known as the Medieval period, began with the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD and ended with the fall of Constantinople in 1453 AD. This period is defined by its relationship with the Roman Empire due to the Roman Empire's colossal political influence across Europe, Africa, and western Asia, affecting a sizeable majority of the human population. Many historians believe Rome was on the cusp of beginning it's own Industrial era when political upheaval and various crises caused Rome to fracture. With this loss of structure came a loss of records, and as a result humanity was set back technologically a substantial amount, losing knowledge of many Roman invented technologies. This era was characterised by its common practice of Feudalism, where land is owned hereditarily and fought over by warring lords.
