CR Opression (1 juill. 1366 av. J.-C. – 1 juill. 1358 av. J.-C.)
Description:
Cushan Rishthaim of Aram Naharim >possibly Artashumara of Mitanni (Naharin)? only inscription of him says he was killed by a man named Tuhi (or Ud-hi). < OTHNIEL?
Alternatively, some have connected Cushan's reign to the battle of Megiddo, when Kadesh, supported by the Mittani, overthrew Egyptian influence in the region. This event occured on April 16, 1457 BC (Middle Cronology) Which is quite early.
Rishthaim could be connected to the Sanskrit Title Ṛṣisattama ("best of sage"). Cushan is unknown, however a certain Kusuna is mentioned in Amarna Letter 224 as an individual of the past, and potentially an ancestor of Šamu-Hadda mayor of Samochonitis, or a previous ruler of the region.
