Nicolaus Copernicus In 1543 Copernicus published work outlining an alternative picture of the universe. (19 févr. 1473 – 24 mai 1543)

Description:

He published his work outlining an alternative picture of the universe. He was the first one ever to give a detailed theory. In his theory, there is two motions that the earth has. It says that earth revolves on its axis once a year. In addition to that the earth orbits the sun once a year. He had the same basic placement of how we view the universe now, but he wasn’t to far off. His system along with Ptolemaic system saw orbits as the complex compounds of circles and not just single circles. People were doubting him and thought that Copernicus’s theory should just be used as a tool for calculating.
