Theodorius (31 déc. 308 – 31 déc. 319)

Description:

Theodore, according to tradition, was bishop of Aquileia from 308 to 319 ; he was the first bishop who sat on the chair of Aquileia after the edict of Milan in 313 . His participation with the deacon Agatho in the Council of Arles in 314 is documented, where both appear among the first signatories of the official acts of the council, thus proving the importance that the church of Aquileia had already acquired for the diffusion of Christianity in north-eastern Italy and in the Balkan-Danubian area.
